What we do

We provide playgroup in the morning, 5 days a week. We are open 9:20am till 11:50 am. We provide care for 2 years and 6 months - 3 year olds. We also provide child places at 2 years old on Flying Start (see health visitor). We aim to provide the best experiences for your child within our setting during possibly their first time away from parents and carers. Your child's wellbeing and feeling they belong is very important to us and paramount. We also provide activities for them to explore, communicate, become independent thinkers and lots of fun in physical movement. We provide early education to develop your child's development. Our experiences at playgroup allow them to gain knowledge and lifelong learning. We provide an area for your child to be creative, happy, skilful and engage with others. We listen to your child's voice. We encourage your child to take a risk, develop their thinking and to become resilient and independent. We will support your child on their journey of learning.

Who do we support

We provide care for all 2 years and 6 months - 3 year olds. We also provide child places at 2 years old on Flying Start (see health visitor). This is children within the Flint area. Children with additional learning needs can still apply for a place and we will try our very best to accommodate your child's needs. Staffing, equipment and any additional extras will be taking into account to make sure our setting is the best place for your child and if we can provide the right care.

Can anyone use this service?

Anyone can pop up to setting and fill in form to place child on waiting list. Flying Start Children apply via their Health Visitor

  Our opening times and availability

We are available: term time only. We work alongside the school attached to our setting. This is so the school car park, yard and gates are opening to gain access safely

We are available during the following school terms:

  • Spring term
  • Autumn term
  • Summer term

We are unable to provide wrap around care.

We have great support from our outside organisations such as Early Years Entitlement, Flying Start and PPA Wales team.
