People in Harmony - making mixed race matter - Family support services

What we do

People in Harmony (PIH) is a membership organisation for mixed race people, families and couples. We have been providing information and support for over 50 years to members, researchers, statutory bodies and the general public. One of our aims is to influence and improve ways in which public services such as education, health, social care, and criminal justice are delivered through discussion and debate, research, campaign and the arts.
We organise annual conferences in London, offer information, support and advice, publish newsletters, papers, resources and information, maintain e-groups for members and committee.
Interracial living is a normal everyday experience for our members, but for some people it can lead to feelings of isolation and non-acceptance, by others, of their differences. Through mutual support members create opportunities to explore mixed race issues and to challenge racism. Membership is Nationwide.
