What we do

The regional service has a dedicated safeguarding and investigation team that works to protect vulnerable residents from financial abuse relating to mass marketing scams, doorstep crime and unfair/rogue trading across Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
We respond to and investigate complaints and provide a rapid response to victims and also provide advice, support and education.
The service also operates the traditional trading standards functions; inspecting businesses for compliance, providing assured business advice and investigating consumer complaints.

Please note there is no longer a drop in service for consumer advice. Consumer advice is provided by the Citizens Advice service on 0808 223 1133 or 0808 223 1144 (Welsh)
