Bags of Hope UK - Family support services

What we do

Bags of Hope UK is a registered charity (registration number: 1179378) which aims to improve the experiences of children and young people in the care system. We recognise the difficulties that children and young people face throughout their time in care, and we want to help make this a better experience for them

Who do we support

Bags of Hope UK aims to provide bags, suitcases and holdalls for children and young people that can be used throughout their journey in the care system. These items will belong to the young people and must not be kept by the foster carer or professional. The hope is that this will prevent moves where belongings are transported in bin liners and shopping bags. We also provide toiletries, and comforters. We have no set kit as we believe every child and young person is an individual and we have all shapes and sizes. We fundraise to purchase new equipment . We will deliver. All we ask is that you complete the monitoring form. Everything we provide is free. Our aim is to support the ever increasing demand on professionals and provide the emergency suitcases and basics. We have been supporting Social Services and Homeless Charities throughout South Wales and are looking to expand our area. Our age range to support is 0yrs to 25yrs.
