What we do

The school has been established for over 25 years and became Charlotte May Academy in early 2012. With around 100 pupils and still growing it’s fast becoming one of South Wales’ leading dance schools.
Charlotte May Academy combines its considerable knowledge of dance and theatre with up-to-the-minute performance techniques and styles. Students learn their skills through both practice and performance, with a strong emphasis on discipline and individual confidence. Whether just a hobby or an intention to pursue a career in performing, Charlotte May Academy offers professional, well disciplined and highly technical training.

Who do we support

The school offers tuition in classical ballet, tap, jazz/modern, hip hop, acrobatics, drama and musical theatre for children from the age of 2½ upwards. The school encourages each pupil to achieve their full potential with opportunities to perform in school shows, take exams and compete in a number of dance competitions situated across Wales and England. All the students have a fantastic attitude and have great fun both in class and on stage.
Classes are held on weekday evenings and all day Saturday, catering for students from 2 ½ years upwards.
