What we do

Cylchoedd Meithrin provide Welsh- Medium childcare for children usually aged 2 years to school age. Cylchoedd Meithrin offer a range of childcare services from full day care, sessional care (for 2 - 4 hour sessions a day) or wraparound care with the local school.

All the childcare in a Cylch Meithrin is through the medium of Welsh and children absorb the language naturally. Most parents who send their child to Cylch Meithrin don’t speak Welsh themselves and they can take advantage of learning Welsh with their children if they so choose

Who do we support

A school based setting that offers Welsh language preschool childcare. There are various sessions available that support the first steps into attending Ysgol Bodhyfryd

Experience/Training/Qualifications:
Leaders and Deputy Leader have NVQ Level 5 in Management, Childcare, Learning & Development, Assistants have either NVQ Level 2 or 3. All staff have training in First Aid, Child Safeguarding and Food Hygiene.

We are available: term time only. Some sessions can start at 9am, see cost details.

We are available during the following school terms:

  • Autumn term
  • Summer term

We can provide wrap around care. For Ysgol Bodhyfryd Early Education and Nursery class, and our own Flying Start children.
