What we do
My name is Sarah Sharpe and I own Poppins Daycare, a home based childcare setting in Barry, South Wales. Qualifications include a foundation degree in Childcare, Learning and Development (CCLD), Level 3 CCLD, Level 3 Playworker, Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding.
I am a Hygge in the Early Years Accredited Childminder (I'm the 1st and only at this time in the Vale of Glamorgan). Hygge is a Danish approach to life that focuses on living in the moment, the feeling of warmth, cosiness, contentment and contributes to positive well being and enjoying the simple pleasures and comforts in everyday
I have completed the Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme and recently took part in their training event 'Healthy Weight' as a guest speaker and ambassador. I am extremely lucky to share an allotment with another setting so the children can enjoy planting, nurturing and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables. This really encompasses our ethos.

We are available: all year round. Can accommodate term time only contracts.
We can provide wrap around care. I currently offer wrap around for All Saints Church in Wales Primary School.
