What we do

Hands-on fun and exploration in the wild for children aged 0-15

Allow your child to explore, experience and discover nature’s wonders with the Wild Elements team. Our playschemes will enrich your child’s life with games, imaginative play, exciting learning activities and a range of nature connection experiences.

All Wild Elements’ playschemes are underpinned by the Forest School ethos, which encourages children to drive their experience through choosing activities on an individual and group basis to encourage empowerment, compromise and personal decision-making.

Programmes also develop emotional competencies, social skills and a deeper appreciation for nature.

Sessions are held in Treborth Botanic Garden, Bangor, LL57 2TQ

Who do we support

Ages 0-5 - Nature’s Playgroup will awaken you child’s enthusiasm and love for nature through playing, exploring and learning freely in the woods with other children.

Ages 5-8 - Woodland Imps is a child-led playscheme that allows your child to set the pace, choose activities and have a say in the games they play.

Ages 8+ Wild in the Woods Club is a child-led playscheme that allows your child to pursue the activities they choose, plan the order of the session and work with others to learn compromise and fairness.

Can anyone use this service?

Children aged 0-5 and their parents/carers can access Nature’s Playgroup, whilst children aged 5-8 years old can access our Woodland Imps Holiday Club. Children aged 8+ years old can access Wild in the Woods Holiday Club. No referral is required to access these provisions.

We are available: school holiday only.

We are available during the following school holidays:

  • Spring half term
  • Easter holiday
  • May half term
  • Summer holiday
  • Autumn half term

We are unable to provide wrap around care.
