What we do

The Sêr Ni Flying Start Nursery is a Local Authority run sessional care provision set in the Llwynhendy Integrated Children’s Centre. We aim to provide a homely, loving and nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to develop to his or her full potential.

The Nursery is quality assured by both CIW and Wales PPA. The Sêr Ni Flying Start Nursery is registered by Care Inspectorate Wales. We offer regulated childcare for up to 24 children in each session from the term following their second birthday to the term of their third birthday. All children inclusive of children with additional needs living within the designated Flying Start area are therefore eligible to attend 5 free sessions per week.

Who do we support

Staff are responsible for delivering a caring, stimulating and safe environment where children aged 2-3 years can be happy and valued as individuals with the aim to improve future outcomes. This will involve planning, preparation and facilitating learning through quality play based activities in partnership with parents.

The children are cared for in the designated early years room within the Integrated Children’s Centre which has adjoining toilets with nappy changing facilities, kitchen and an outside area. Children may use other space within the centre subject to registration requirements.
