Gwasanaeth Gwybodaeth I Deuluoedd - Family Information Service

Children & Young Persons' Group (funded by BBC Children in Need) - Children and young people's activities

What we do

The project is set up to address some of the disadvantages that many refugee and asylum seeking children and young people experience, for example; isolation, lack of confidence, lack of inclusion/ access to provision. The project provides children with regular opportunities to participate in fun and friendly groups and activities. Children can benefit from attending a familiar, informal and welcoming environment in which new friendships can be established. The project encourages children of all ages and abilities to get involved in a variety of activities and we work to ensure that every child has a fun and fulfilling experience. We work with children to increase their levels of self-confidence; helping them to establish positive relationships with others. The project also arranges regular day trips and outings to help children become more familiar with the local area.
