North Wales Adoption Service - Family support services

What we do

Thinking about adopting? The North Wales Adoption Service is here to help you every step of the way.

There are increasing numbers of children in the care of local authorities who cannot return to their birth families. These children now need permanent, loving families who can provide stability and the opportunity for them to thrive and reach their full potential.

The North Wales Adoption Service is a partnership between local authority adoption teams in Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys Mon. The Service aim to make the adoption process more efficient and more effective through widening the pool of adopters for the children in North Wales.

Who do we support

The North Wales Adoption Service is open for prospective adopters over the age of 21 years old, but there is no upper age limit.

We need adopters who have the physical and mental energy to meet the needs of our children, and whose lifestyle suggests they will still have that energy when the child is a teenager, or young adult.
