Children with Cancer UK - Family support services

What we do

Our vision is a world where every child survives cancer.
Our mission is to improve survival rates across all types of childhood cancer and support children and their families to live better with and after treatment.

We currently fund more than 60 research projects at centres of excellence around the UK. These projects are investigating a broad range of childhood cancers – helping us to better understand these diseases and to find more effective, less toxic ways of treating them.

Through our investment in research, we are taking forward our understanding of childhood cancer, to give new insights into ways of treating young patients with even the most difficult forms of cancer. We are working to drive up the survival rate still further by developing more effective curative therapies with fewer toxic side effects.

Who do we support

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it can be a frightening experience for the whole family. Treatment normally starts immediately, is often given many miles from home and can last for several years.

At Children with Cancer UK, we fund innovative welfare projects to provide better care and practical support for young cancer patients and their families.
