What we do

Playwork Projects aim to create playful environments for children providing opportunity for freely chosen and personally directed play. Children are able to play more freely when they are allowed to use resources as they choose, letting their imagination run wild! For this reason our projects are mainly equipped with loose materials such as wood, tyres, tubes, crates, rope, paint, cardboard and anything else we can get our hands on! We also provide children with tools such as saws and hammers so that they can be more creative in making use of these materials.Playwork projects offer parents peace of mind that suitably trained adults are looking out for their children while they play out in their communities. However this provision is not formal childcare and children may come and go from these settings as they choose. As play can get messy we recommend comfortable clothing that children are allowed to get dirty. Gwenfro Valley is behind Gwenfro Primary School in Caia Park.
