Action For Children - Skills + North and Mid Wales - Family support services

What we do

Working to help Care Experienced Young People with their psychological health, independent living skills, social and emotional well-being in their community. Do you feel like you are struggling in any of these areas?

Regulating your emotions
Problem solving
Managing Distress
Relationship and Social skills

We understand that these areas can be hard to manage, so we aim to support young people, like yourself, in developing healthy skills/strategies to make these areas of life a little easier to cope with.

The interventions provided by the Skills for Living team will also be extended to those who support you and/or your carers. If they have an understanding of the skills/strategies you are learning, they will be better able to support you with these as well.

Our project has 3 main components, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills Groups, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Groups and independent living Skills groups. All elements include extensive 1-2-1 support.
