Hands up for Down's - Family support services

What we do

The founders of our group are all parents of a child born with Down's Syndrome during the years 2011/2012. We all met at the Action For Children Centre in Killay, Swansea and soon became good friends. As there wasn't a group for children with Down's Syndrome in the Swansea Bay area we decided we would set up our own so that we could be there for future families giving support and ensuring our children get access to the services they need, so Hands Up For Down's was born.​ Since then we have grown to over fifty families and we love welcoming new members to our Hands Up For Down's ​family.

Watching our children grow and flourish together is amazing and we hope that others can take inspiration and positivity in seeing just how incredible our children are.

Hands Up For Down's aims to promote social inclusion for our children and their families by raising awareness and changing perceptions. We aim to challenge the outdated perceptions of Down's Syndrome by informing and educating.
