What we do

During Forest School sessions children will be experiencing a whole range of different activities including: team building, trust exercise, bush craft, activities involving tools, a variety of crafts and be taught how to safely build and stock a fire. Most activities will naturally involve numeracy and literacy, but the most important factors include children benefiting from being in an outdoors environment for a length of time and learning through play and creativity. Children will also be entrusted to help set up and pack away carefully, taking responsibility for ‘their’ woodlands.

Who do we support

These sessions are perfect opportunities for children aged 4 to 11 to experience the forest school for themselves.

Muddy Puddles sessions follow the main ethos of forest school. This is where activities are mainly child-led and allow for children’s imaginations to thrive. Children will be challenged in a new environment where they spend the entire day outside in the fresh air enjoying the natural landscape around them. They can work individually or collaboratively towards a goal or idea, building upon what they have done previously. Each time children attend they grow and develop many skills such as; communication, critical and creative thinking, self awareness, self confidence and their ability to assess and calculate risk.

These sessions run during the Summer Holidays, October Half Term, February Half Term, Easter Holidays and May Half Term.
