Family Holiday Association - Family support services

What we do

The only national charity dedicated to providing seaside breaks and day trips for families struggling with some of the toughest challenges life can bring.

Thousands of families are excluded from holiday opportunities due to difficult circumstances such as poverty, recent trauma, disability, depression or long term illness. The FHA enables some of these families to take a much needed break.

The family must be referred by a referring agent (someone who knows the family in a professional capacity who is aware of the family circumstances, for instance a social worker, a teacher, a support worker, etc.)
- There must be at least one child in the family aged between 3 and 18 years old at the time of the holiday
- The family is on a low income
- The family has not had a holiday in the last four years

The Family Holiday Association regrets that it is not in a position to help families with no recourse to public funds or those in receipt of foster care payments.
