What we do

All-terrain beach wheelchairs are available at Barry Island, giving more visitors the chance to get on to the sand at Whitmore Bay.

Wheelchair access on beach. There are three beach chairs which are available for loan and are free to use.

Users just need to show one form of photo ID such as a passport or driving licence, or two proofs of name and address such as a utility bill and a bank statement.

The beach wheelchairs can be collected from the CHANGING PLACES facility situated behind Marco's Cafe on the Western Promenade.
