(FAMILIES FIRST) Enhanced Health - Family support services


What we do

Enhanced Health is part of the Families First/Flying Start Early Years Pathway and aims to work with families with children age 0-7yrs.
Support will be offered to families whose needs are mainly health related.
The programme can provide information and support on behaviour management, routines and boundaries and dental hygiene.
Health Visiting is a universal service working with children 0-4yrs and their families to ensure all children are able to reach their optimum health and wellbeing and parents are supported and able to meet their own needs as well as the needs of their children. The health team consists of Health Visitors, Community Nursery Nurses, Midwife and a Speech & Language Therapist.

Who do we support

Families with children aged 0-7yrs
On the child’s 5th birthday the school health nurse will manage all the child’s immunisation/health needs

Can anyone use this service?

Health Visiting /Midwifery is a universal service, although a referral would be required for the Community Nursery Nurse and Speech and Language Therapist.
